Open Golf Sunday

In part one, I talked about golf psychology lessons from Tom Watson's remarkable performance both on and off the course at this year's Open Championship at Turnberry. So, what other golf psychology lessons we can from some of the other competitors?

Now I know the valiant and expectant challenge Ross Fisher's actually died in the thick rough at the 5th Hole on Sunday. But he went on, splendid in a way that the world number one, Tiger Woods, has failed miserably, two days previously did not succeed, despite the signing of charge that brought him so close to the weekend. Ross held his nerve and lost his Tiger rag!

I think that Ross Fisher is such a wonderful young golfers, so polite, considerate and British, so I was in seventh heaven when he made the 4 Green on Sunday, leading Open by two shots. It was even better that one of my all time favorite Tom Watson was just 2 behind and Lee Westwood, another favorite of mine was in the mix and Play at the top of his game as well. That would be a real treat. I was also aware that one of my old Clubmate, Luke Donald, a clubhouse with top score Entry was a final 67th

After both Ross and Lee hit their irons the 5th Tee into the rough, I was worried that she might fall a shot but I never dreamed that Ross would fall four shots! He is really wrong on the hole, it was just the "rub of the green that you're on a traditional links course to get. He had a terrible lie in the thick grass, was nowhere to be let fall, and if he has played, the ball landed in a worse Place. He finally got to play on the fairway to six hit a good shot and nearly holed a good putt.

Everything reminded me of rounds played, which I have in top amateur competitions from the championship tees Open Championship venues like Royal Birkdale and Royal St. Georges, where the rough could be unduly penalized. What was different from Ross was that he always smiled, put his routine and came with him. Yes, he smiled and took his hat in response to the applause of the masses when he finally, on 5 Green out Holes. What's more, he parred the next hole, and his last 10 holes. In other words, it was thought that these things happened on the golf course and straight back on his Job as a professional golfer to make good shots and the crowd pleasing. And in case you forgot, he had to think of the impending birth of his first child and about to.

Given his composure, I was surprised to remember Ross said in an interview at the Masters this year that he did not use a golf psychologist. He said he had one by the English Golf Union has made available again in the amateur day. I would like to know who it was, because he certainly did some good and long lasting Unconscious Working with young Ross!

At the risk of repeating myself, the next time when you are on the course and the golf gods, or your golf seem to mind against you have to remember how it deals with Ross Fisher in the open. Do you accept what happened to send it in the past where it is no longer hurt and get playing on the next shot, to the best of your abilities.

I'm going to conclude this article in part 3 with golf lessons from the spirit of "Open".
