What genre of music do Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind, and Fire sing?
Because I'm Absolutely obsessed with there music I feel the need to know what type of genre of music they sing:)
r and b more rythm and blues type, more so than all this new stuff. i have stevie wonder on my ipod as well as earth wind a fire, when the love is gone and rollercoaster. there music is really powerfull. then again so are a lot of peoples.

And as for Roth's Hendrix fixation, "I'll Be Loving You Always" lifted melodies from both "The Wind Cries Mary" and "Angel," while the nearly 11-minute "Hiroshima" -- spine-tingling as it was as a guitar-playing showcase -- essentially represented the German guitarist's personal take on Hendrix's "Machine Gun." In broader terms, the heartfelt messages parlayed by Roth's flower-power lyrics lost their significance when sung in a style reminiscent of Frank Zappa's comedy routines -- an inevitable byproduct of his deficient vocal talents. Even so, the album had an undeniable highlight in energetic opening rocker "Cast Away Your Chains," which overwhelmed any vocal failings with a solo and extended coda as good as guitar shredding has ever been. The Music of Earth, Wind & Fire $24.98 The booklet that comes with The Music of Earth, Wind & Fire -- a three-disc box that will slot easily next to your DVDs rather than your CDs -- lists the other EW&F titles available from Columbia/Legacy, including eight other compilations. Needless to say, a casual fan has several options, and while The Music of Earth, Wind & Fire is the most extensive of the bunch, containing all the notable hits (with the exception of "Africano," a number one disco single), a casual fan doesn't need to go quite this deep. The Essential Earth, Wind & Fire $18.98 Columbia/Legacy's double-disc set The Essential Earth, Wind & Fire lives up to its title by offering 34 tracks of the groundbreaking funk band at its peak. All of the hits, whether they're R&B or tunes that crossed over to the pop charts, are here, along with important album tracks that capture the range and depth of EWF. Since this focuses on their peak of the '70s and early '80s, there's very little here that doesn't qualify as "essential," which makes it a better bet than their box set.
